The University of Missouri Basketball team just go a whole lot better with the addition of 5 star recruit Michael Porter Jr. Porter was originally from Columbia, Missouri. He moved out to Seattle, Washington to play basketball at Nathan Hale High School. We was verbally committed to Washington State University to play basketball. He was the top recruit in the nation.
Washington State fired their head coach and this upset Michael Porter Jr. , so he then asked if he could withdraw his verbal commitment. His dad Michael Porter Sr. got a job at Missouri as the assistant basketball coach, so Michael Porter Jr. decided to follow his dad and committed to the University of Missouri.
Mizzou’s basketball team has not done very well in the past few years. So Porter Used his popularity to try and attract some other recruits. Michael Porter Jr. so far has talked to Blake Harris and he gave a verbal commitment to Mizzou. Mizzou has also had 5 star recruit Kevin Knox visit, but he has decided to push back the date on which he decides on where he is going. C.J. Roberts was also one of the recruits that signed, but he decided to sign before Michael Porter Jr. decided he was coming.
So overall, Michael Porter Jr. is dreaming to win a National Title. He is really hoping these new recruits can help him accomplish this goal. Michael Porter Jr. said “My goal is to win a national championship. I feel like, if you don’t dream too high, then you’re not dreaming big enough. So, my goal is a championship.”

March Madness is a college basketball tournament. This year the #1 seeds are Villanova, Gonzaga, Kansas, and North Carolina. This year Villanova is defending the title. Last year they took the championship. These #1 seeds have a lot of pressure on them. Not only are people expecting them to make it far, but no #1 seed has ever lost in the first round. So that adds some extra pressure on them. This year we did a NAC News bracket challenge. I decided to have Duke taking the victory as a two seed. John and Mr. Wiedmer had #1 seed Kansas winning it all. Then Cameron took UCLA who is a 3 seed. Then we decided to ask Mr. Tolen and he took Kansas. So overall when we added up our brackets John got last, I got 3rd, Cameron took 2nd, and then Mr. Wiedmer got first place. So overtime games have taken place and the Final Four has been determined. The teams remaining are South Carolina, Gonzaga, Oregon, and North Carolina.

Kevin Durant spent nine seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder organization. He has drafted second overall by the Seattle Supersonics in 2007. The team would later move to Oklahoma City and be renamed the Thunder. Over the offseason Durant’s contract was up and he decided to move to the team that beat the Thunder out of the playoffs last season, the Golden State Warriors.
On February 11th the Warriors came to Oklahoma to play the Thunder. Durant himself said he knows it is not going to be a warm welcome. Curry has said that he hopes for a warm welcome for Durant. Durant also has not been close with his former teammate Russell Westbrook ever since he departed the team.
I had the opportunity to attend the game. Many things happened at the game since I was wearing a Kevin Durant Golden State jersey. First my family and I were interviewed by the local OKC news. They did not add me to the cut, but my brother spoke on the interview. We also had things happen such as a potato chip being thrown at us. Several people joked asking me why I had the jersey on, and fans behind us yelled bandwagon at us.
The events that happened to me were not even close to how they treated Kevin Durant. When he came out many people screamed boo and even called him cupcake for being “soft”. He was booed every time he touched the ball, even in the layup lines.
The final score of the game was 130-114 Warriors. Kevin Durant scored 34 points and lead the team in scoring. His opponent Russell Westbrook had a great game as well scoring 47 points. The Warriors will have to travel back to OKC later in the year.

Trapping season in full swing
By: Randy Singleton
November 22,2016
Trapping season is a fun season because you never know what you are going to catch in the morning. Raccoon trapping starts November 15, 2016 and ends Jan 31, 2017. There is no daily limit for Racoons and there isn't a limit for how many Racoons you can have in your possession. Most people either have live traps or dog proof foot traps. Live traps are usually 7 inches wide and 10 inches tall and somewhere around a couple feet long. A dog proof trap is a small cylinder looking trap that a dog can't fit its paw down there so there is no harm to a dog but it will catch a raccoon and hold it there until you check the trap. The bait for both of the animals is tuna, most people usually put the tuna inside or beside the traps.

Kansas City Chiefs QB Depth Chart

Kansas City Chiefs had a total of five QBs going into the 2016 season. The average NFL team keeps about three QBs on the active roster. The Chiefs had Alex Smith, Nick Foles, Aaron Murray, Tyler Bray, and Kevin Hogan. All of these guys are decent QBs, but there are only so many reps to go around at practice.
Alex Smith was the 1st overall draft pick in 2005 by the San Francisco 49ers. In 2012 the 49ers replaced Alex Smith with Colin Kaepernick. Alex Smith then went to the Kansas City Chiefs. So far he is the starting QB for the Chiefs and has brought the Chiefs to two playoff appearances.
Nick Foles was drafted by the Eagles in 2012 and replaced Michael Vick after an injury. Nick then went to the Rams and then went to the Chiefs over training camp. He is signed to a one year deal and will likely not get a contract extension if nothing happens to Alex Smith.
Aaron Murray played for Georgia and was drafted in the fifth round by the Kansas City Chiefs. He backed up Alex and never got any real playing time. Murray never really got a chance to prove himself and he was cut last week. Murray signed with the Arizona Cardinals to back up Carson Palmer.
Tyler Bray was an undrafted free agent after being thought of as irresponsible. Bray was picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and played three out of four preseason games. Bray spent the 2014 on IR list for his ACL tear.
Kevin Hogan was drafted in the fifth round by the Kansas City Chiefs. Hogan was from Stanford was successful playing there. Hogan was cut by the Chiefs and picked up by the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have Robert Griffin III and he may be in the running for the starting position if Robert Griffin III does poorly or gets hurt.
